We are excited to announce that Dane Jones, a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over two decades of experience in the cybersecurity industry, has joined ThreatX’s Board of Advisors. With a rich history in security leadership roles at companies like Lowes and High Radius, Dane brings a wealth of knowledge in application security, governance, risk, and compliance. His strategic insights and technical expertise will be invaluable as ThreatX continues to evolve and shape their future API and application security offerings.

A New Perspective on Security Integration

Dane’s first engagement with ThreatX over a year ago made an immediate impression with the platform’s deep visibility into application traffic inspection using Extended Berkley Packet Filter (eBPF), a technology that extends the ability to attach at the kernel level within Linux environments. He describes ThreatX’s innovative approach as providing “architectural flexibility,” especially with its unique approach to moving security deeper into the stack, within application’s runtime workloads.

“It’s a step beyond where many others are,” he says, highlighting the platform’s utilization of eBPF technology, which offers deeper visibility and protection at the kernel level without introducing additional risk like other agent-based installs. This capability sets ThreatX apart in the rapidly evolving security landscape.

Dane emphasized the critical advantages ThreatX offers to businesses, specifically for large organizations, SaaS companies, and enterprises that need robust API protection while remaining agile in their cloud-based and containerized environments. In addition to ThreatX’s focus on security, Dane points out how the platform also delivers significant operational value. By integrating deeply into the kernel, ThreatX enables real-time insights not only for security but also for IT operations, giving businesses a comprehensive view into what is happening across their infrastructure.

A Vision for the Future

As a new member of ThreatX’s Advisory Board, Dane sees tremendous opportunity in pushing the boundaries of API security. Dane is eager to bring his experience in shaping application security to ThreatX’s next phase of growth. “There’s a phenomenal story to be told here for large e-retailers, SaaS companies, and enterprises with heavy API usage. ThreatX’s architecture provides a competitive edge, and I’m excited to be part of that journey.”

Join us in welcoming Dane Jones to the ThreatX family. We are confident that his extensive expertise, forward-thinking approach, and passion for cybersecurity will help propel our platform and capabilities to new heights. With his leadership and insights, ThreatX is well-positioned to continue disrupting the API and application security market, delivering unmatched value to customers across various industries.
